Hour of Mercy: 3:00 p.m
Daily Reflections, supplications and prayers
Sunday, October 2nd., 2022.
1. Reflection:
On an earlier occasion.
In the evening, I saw the Lord Jesus upon the cross. From His hands, feet, and side the Most Sacred Blood was flowing. After some time, Jesus said to me, All this is for the salvation of souls. Consider well, My daughter, what you are doing for their salvation. I answered, “Jesus, when I look at Your suffering, I see that I am doing next to nothing for the salvation of souls.” And the Lord said to me, Know, My daughter, that your silent day-to-day martyrdom in complete submission to My will ushers many souls into heaven. And when it seems to you that your suffering exceeds your strength, contemplate My wounds, (51) and you will rise above human scorn and judgment. Meditation on My passion will help you rise above all things. I understood many things I had been unable to comprehend before.
July 9, 1937. This evening, one of the deceased sisters came and asked me for one day of fasting and to offer all my [spiritual] exercises on that day for her. I answered that I would (Saint María Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in My Soul, Diary, 1184 – 1185).
2. Supplications:
- Let us ask for the Grace to always live with an attitude and mercy towards those who suffer.
- Let us pray for the souls in Purgatory and for the dying.
- Let us ask the Lord to have commiseration of our suffering humanity and for the end of the spread of COVID-19 throughout the world,
- For the souls in purgatory,
- For our suffering humanity and for our personal intentions.
3. Resolutions of the day:
Be merciful to those who suffer.
4. Final Prayer:
Oh JESUS, inconceivable beauty, you understand perfectly with pure souls, because only they are capable of eroticism and sacrifice. Oh sweet and rosy Blood of Jesus, ennoble my blood and transform it into Your own blood. Oh My Good Merciful Jesus, King of Mercy, I trust in You, and only in you I Hope. Amen. Jesus I Trust in You (Diary, 1575).
