REFLECTION:

… (189) Once the LORD told me: Why are you afraid and trembling when you are united with Me? I do not like the soul that is carried away by useless fears. Who dares to touch you when you are with Me? The soul dearest to Me is the one who strongly believes in My goodness and the one who fully trusts Me; I offer you My trust and give you everything you are asking Me.

On one occasion the LORD told me: My Daughter, take the Graces that people despise; Take as many as you can carry. In that moment my soul was flooded with the love of GOD. I feel that I am united to the LORD so closely that I do not have words with which I could well express this union; I feel that everything GOD has, all the goods and treasures, are mine, although I take little care of them, since only He is enough for me. In Him I see everything, outside of Him, nothing… (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 453-454).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to distance ourselves from all interior noises, so that our hearts are a true meeting place with the King of Mercy.

– Let us pray for those who have lost hope and pay attention to the murmurings of the evil one.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church,

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Go to the Blessed Sacrament to ask for the Grace to dispel fear and grow in trust in the LORD.

– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

… (99) JESUS, do not leave me alone in suffering. You know, LORD, how weak I am. I am an abyss of misery; I am nothingness itself. So what would be strange if you left me alone and I fell? I am a newborn, LORD. That Is why I do not know how to stand on my own. However, despite all abandonment, I trust; and despite my feelings, I trust, and I am completely transforming into trust, many times despite what I feel. Do not diminish any of my afflictions, only give me strength to endure them. do with me what you want, LORD. Just give me the Grace to be able to love you in every event and circumstance. LORD, do not diminish my chalice of bitterness, only give me strength so that I can drink it all… (Diary 1489).
