- REFLECTION:
+ Once, a sister was caring for the sick, so negligent in her work that it was truly necessary to mortify herself quite a bit. One day I decided to tell the Superiors; But I heard a voice in my soul: Bear patiently, someone else will say it. However, such service continued all month. When I was able to go down a little to the refectory and recess, I heard these words in my soul: Now other sisters will talk (155) about the negligence in the service of that nun, but you keep quiet and do not intervene in this matter. At that very moment a rather harsh discussion began about that sister, but she was unable to find anything in her defense and all the sisters chorused: Amend yourself, sister, and take better care of the sick. I learned that sometimes JESUS does not want us to say something on our own initiative; He has His way and knows when the right time is to speak. (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 1587).
- SUPPLICATIONS:
– Let us ask for the Grace to always listen to the inspirations of the King of Mercy.
– Let us pray for those who tend to act evilly, causing trouble to others and taking away peace from the weakest.
– For our suffering humanity.
– For the souls in Purgatory.
– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.
– For our Holy Catholic Church.
– For our personal intentions.
- PURPOSE OF THE DAY:
– Always be attentive to the voice of the LORD and His instructions.
– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
– Respect the Hour of Mercy.
– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.
- CLOSING PRAYER:
Oh my JESUS, I know that to be a useful soul it is necessary to seek the Closest union with You, oh eternal love. A word from a soul united to GOD does better for souls than eloquent debates or preaching from an imperfect soul. (Diary, 1595).
Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU!
