  1. REFLECTION:

13 XII [1936]

“When I reflected that it had been three weeks since I had confessed, I burst into tears, seeing the fragility of my soul and certain difficulties. I had not confessed because that was the circumstances: When there was Confession, I was in bed that day. At the same time the following week the Confession was in the afternoon and in the morning I had gone to the hospital. This afternoon, Father Andrasz came into my isolated room and sat down for me to confess. Before that he did not say a word. I was very happy because I very much wanted to confess. As always I revealed my whole soul. The Father gave me an answer even to the smallest thing. I felt strangely happy to be able (208) to say everything. As penance he gave me: Litany of the Name of Jesus. When I wanted to present to him the difficulty that I had to pray those litanies, he stood up and gave me absolution. Suddenly a great light began to come out of his person, and I saw that it was not Father Andrasz but JESUS. His clothes were clear as snow, and he disappeared immediately. At first I was a little uneasy, but a while later a certain tranquility entered my soul. I noticed that JESUS confesses like the confessors, however, during this Confession my heart strangely sensed something; At first I could not understand what that meant.” (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 817).

  1. SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask the LORD for the Grace to always go to Confession with a repentant heart.

– Let us pray for our confessors so that they always allow themselves to be used by the King of Mercy.

– Let us pray for those people who do not believe in the forgiveness of sins.

  1. PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Approach Confession with the conviction of receiving forgiveness from the LORD.

– Make it a point to confess frequently.

 – Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

  1. CLOSING PRAYER:

“+ Oh merciful JESUS, lying on the cross, keep in mind the hour of our death! Oh most merciful Heart of JESUS, opened with a spear, protect me at the hour of my death!

Oh Blood and Water that flowed from the Heart of JESUS as a source of unfathomable Mercy for me at the hour of my death! Oh dying JESUS, Hostage of Mercy [261], appease divine wrath at the hour of my death!” (cf. Diary 813).

Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST YOU!
