REFLECTION:

“+ Once, I was in the kitchen with Sister N. [82] and she got a little annoyed with me and as a penance she ordered me to sit at the table, while she began to work a lot, fixing, washing up, and I I was sitting on the table. Other sisters came and were surprised that I was sitting at the table, each one said what she wanted. One, that I was lazy, another that I was extravagant. At that time, I was a postulant. Others said: What kind of sister will this be? But, I could not go down, because that sister ordered me, under obedience [83], to stay seated until she allowed me to go down. Truly, only GOD knows how many acts of mortification I did then.

I thought I was going to burn with shame. GOD Himself sometimes allowed it for my interior formation, but the LORD rewarded me for that humiliation with great consolation. During the blessing I saw Him in an aspect of great beauty. JESUS looked kindly at me and said: – My daughter, do not be afraid of suffering. I am with you“. (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 151).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask the LORD for the Grace to suffer humiliation with patience.

– Let us pray for ourselves, so that the LORD removes from us all evil and all actions that prevent us from being true ambassadors of the King of Mercy.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Let it be our purpose to know GOD and always obey Him. Let us beg Him to be able to always count, with the help of heaven.

– Pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

“Oh JESUS, pure love, i do not need consolation, i feed on your will, oh sovereign. Your will is the end of my existence. it seems to me that the whole world is at my service and depends on me. You, oh lord, understand my soul in all its aspirations”. (diary, 195).

Oh my good merciful JESUS, king of Mercy, i trust in you and only in you i hope. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU! Amen.
