REFLECTION:

24 XII 1934. Christmas Eve.

In the morning during Holy Mass, I felt the closeness of GOD, my spirit submerged in GOD unconsciously. Suddenly I heard these words: You are a pleasant dwelling place for Me, in you My Spirit rests.

After these words I felt the gaze of the LORD directed to the bottom of my heart and seeing my misery I humbled myself in spirit and admired the great Mercy of GOD, and that this Most High LORD was approaching such misery.

During Holy Communion joy flooded my soul, I felt that I was closely united to Divinity; His Omnipotence absorbed my whole being, during the whole day I felt the closeness of GOD in a particular way, and although duties did not allow me to go to the chapel for a moment during the whole day, nevertheless there was not a moment in which I did not I was united with GOD, I felt it within [145] me in a more sensitive way than ever before. I greeted the Blessed Virgin without ceasing, immersing myself in Her Spirit, I begged Her to teach me a true love of GOD. Suddenly I heard these words: I will reveal to you the secret of my happiness at night, during Holy Mass.

Dinner was before six; Despite the joy and noise outside when the “oplatek” is broken [and during] the mutual congratulations, not for a moment I was deprived of the Presence God. After dinner we hurried to work and at nine, I was able to go to the chapel for Adoration. I had obtained permission not to go to bed, but to wait for Midnight Mass. I was very glad; from nine to twelve I had free time. From nine to ten I did Adoration for my parents and for my whole family; from ten to eleven I did Adoration for my spiritual director; First, I thanked GOD that He deigned to give me this great visible help here on earth, just as He had promised me, and on the other hand, I asked GOD to give Him light so that He could know my soul and guide me according to what pleased GOD. From eleven to twelve I prayed for the Holy Church and for the clergy, for sinners, for the missions, for our homes I offered indulgences for the souls in Purgatory (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in my soul. (Diary 346).

2.SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to have a willing heart to enjoy the secret of happiness that the CHILD JESUS brings us.

– Let us pray that our hearts will be a stable dwelling place for the LORD.

– Let us ask for the Grace to always find the response of the LORD to temptations.

– Let us pray for families in conflict, so that the spiritual birth of the CHILD JESUS brings them true peace.

– For our suffering humanity,

– For the souls in Purgatory,

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary,

– For our Holy Catholic Church,

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

Live this Christmas in deep interior recollection and in Grace.

– Pray the Meditated Divine Mercy Chaplet pdf.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

FINAL PRAYER:

Oh Eternal Light that you come to this earth, illuminates my mind and strengthens my will so that I do not stop in moments of difficult trials! May Your light dispel every shadow of doubt, may Your Omnipotence work through me. I trust in You, oh uncreated Light. You, oh CHILD JESUS, are my example in the fulfillment of the will of Your Father, You who said: I come to fulfill Your will, make me (216) faithfully comply in all the will of GOD, Oh Divine Child, grant me this Grace. Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU! (cf. Diary 830).
