REFLECTION:

DIALOGUE OF THE MERCIFUL GOD WITH THE SUFFERING SOUL

– JESUS: Oh soul, I see you so suffering, I see that you do not even have the strength to talk to Me. That is why only I will speak to you, oh soul. Even if your sufferings were (86) very great, do not lose your serenity of spirit or become discouraged. But tell Me, My child, who has dared to hurt your heart? Tell Me everything, tell Me everything, be sincere when dealing with Me, discover all the wounds of your heart, I will heal them, and your suffering will become the source of your sanctification.

– The soul: I have so many varied things that I do not know what to talk about first or how to express all this.

– JESUS: Talk to me simply, as you talk between friends. Well, My child, what is stopping you on the path to holiness?

– The soul: Lack of health stops me on the path to holiness, I cannot fulfill my obligations, therefore, I am a sufferer. I cannot mortify myself or do rigorous fasts like the saints did; (87) Furthermore, they do not believe that I am sick, and the physical suffering is joined by the moral one and many humiliations arise from this. You see, JESUS, how can one become holy in such conditions? (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 1487).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to approach the LORD with confidence.

– Let us pray for the dying and for the children who are hungry.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Always listen to the voice of the LORD.

– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Oh JESUS, Source of life, sanctify me. My strength, strengthen me. Oh my Supreme Chief, fight for me. Only light of my soul, enlighten me. My teacher, guide me; I entrust myself to You like the newborn to the love of its mother. Although everything conspires against me and although I lack land under my feet, I will be calm next to Your Heart. You are always the most tender of mothers for me and you surpass all mothers. I will sing my pain to you with silence, and you will understand me better than if I expressed myself in any other way. (Diary, 1490).

Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU!
