REFLECTION:

“+ Today JESUS came to the door in the guise of a poor young man. A haggard young man, in rags, barefoot and with a bare head, was stunned with cold because it was a rainy and cold day. He asked for something to eat hot. But when I went to the kitchen and found nothing for the poor; however, after searching for a while I found some soup that I heated up and put in some crumbled bread. I gave it to the poor man who ate it. At the moment I took the glass away from him, he let me know that he was the LORD of heaven and earth. As soon as I saw Him as He is, he disappeared from my eyes. (55) When I entered the house thinking about what had happened at the door, I heard these words in the soul: – My daughter, the blessings of the poor have reached My ears who, moving away from the door, bless Me and this Mercy of yours has pleased Me within the limits of obedience and that is why I have come down from the throne to taste the fruit of your Mercy”. (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 1312).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to see the face of GOD in our brothers in need.

– Pray for those who live in extreme poverty.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Carry out at least one work of mercy.

– Pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to do at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

“Oh my JESUS, now it is clear to me, and I have understood everything that has happened a moment ago. I had a presentiment asking myself, what kind of poor man is this from whom so much modesty is revealed? From that moment my heart has been lit with a love still purest towards the poor and the needy”. Oh My Merciful Good JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only hope in You. Amen. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU! (cf. Diary, 1313).
