REFLECTION:

When I immerse myself in the Passion of the LORD, often in adoration I see the LORD JESUS under this aspect: after the scourging, the executioners took the LORD and took off His own tunic, which had already stuck to the wounds; while they were stripping Him, His sores opened again. Then they dressed the LORD in a red, dirty, and torn mantle over the open sores. The cloak reached the knees only in some places. They ordered the LORD to sit on a piece of wood and then they plaited a crown of thorns and wrapped the Sacred Head with it; they put a reed in His hand, and made fun of Him, honoring Him as a king. They spat in His face and others took the cane and hit Him on the head; others caused Him pain with their fists, and others covered His face and hit Him with their fists. JESUS bore it silently. Who can understand, your pain? JESUS had His eyes lowered towards the earth. I felt what was happening then in the most sweet Heart of Jesus. Let each soul meditate on what Jesus suffered at that moment. They competed in insulting the LORD. I thought, where could come from so much evil in man? It is caused by sin. Love and sin met (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 408).

2.SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to be true witnesses of the love of the LORD who gave His life for us.

– Let us pray for marriages in crisis, for broken families, for the sick.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Always live in the presence of the LORD.

– Pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Oh Creator and my LORD, here you have my whole being. Dispose of me according to Your divine complacency and according to Your eternal designs and Your unfathomable Mercy. Let each soul know how good the LORD is; that no soul be afraid of dealing with the LORD. Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST YOU!
