REFLECTION:

Silence is a sword in the spiritual fight; a talkative soul will not achieve holiness. This sword of silence will cut everything that wants to stick to the soul. We are sensitive to words, and we want to respond immediately, sensitively, without considering whether it is the Will of GOD for us to speak. The silent soul is strong; no setbacks will harm you if you persevere in silence. The silent soul (198) is capable of the deepest union with GOD; He almost always lives under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In the silent soul GOD works without obstacles. (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 477).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask the LORD for the Grace to cultivate inner silence and humble devotion.

– Let us pray for the arrogant, the violent and all those who promote anti-values in life.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Prepare for a deep union with the King of Mercy.

– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Oh eternal Truth, Word incarnate who has fulfilled the will of Your Father in a more faithful way, today I become a martyr of Your inspirations for not being able to carry them out, seeing that I lack my own will; despite clearly knowing Your holy will (205) within me, I submit in everything to the will of the Superiors and the confessor; I will fulfill it to the extent that You allow me through Your representative.
