DEVOTION TO THE DIVINE MERCY

REFLECTION:

“When I asked JESUS for forgiveness for an action of mine that shortly afterwards turned out to be imperfect, JESUS reassured me with these words: – My daughter, I reward you for the purity of the intention you had (141) at the time of acting. My Heart has been glad that at the moment of acting you have kept My love in mind and this in such an obvious way; Even now you take advantage of it, and it is humiliation. Yes, My child, I wish that you always have a purity of intention in your smallest initiatives” (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 1566).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to allow ourselves to be formed in the Sacred Heart of the King of Mercy, so that our actions always have the seal of purity of intention.

– Let us pray for the arrogant of heart, so that they recognize the value of humility and begin to live a true spiritual childhood.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Do not end the day without experiencing the purity of intention in all my actions,

– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

“Oh inexhaustible treasure of the purity of intention that makes all our actions perfect and so pleasing to GOD! Oh JESUS, You know how weak I am, so always stay with me, guide my actions, my entire being. You, my best Teacher. Truly, oh JESUS, fear invades me when I see my misery, but at the same time I calm down seeing Your unfathomable Mercy that is greater than my misery for all eternity.” (cf. Diary 66). Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU!
