REFLECTION:

“A deep silence floods my soul, not a single cloud covers the sun, I expose myself (7) completely to the rays of this Sun so that its love makes a total change in me. I want to emerge as a saint from these spiritual exercises despite everything, that is, despite my misery. I want to become a saint and I trust that Divine Mercy can make a saint out of the misery that I am, because after all I have good will. Despite all the failures I want to fight like a holy soul, and I want to behave like a holy soul. Nothing will discourage me as a holy soul is not discouraged. I want to live and die as a holy soul, contemplating you, JESUS lying on the cross, as a model to follow. I have looked for examples around me and I have not found enough, and I have noticed as if my holiness was delayed; but from now on I have fixed my gaze on You, oh CHRIST, who are my best guide. I trust that you will bless my efforts”. (Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska, The Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 1333).

SUPPLICATIONS:

– Let us ask for the Grace to long for holiness and to let ourselves be guided by the King of Mercy with the help of the saints.

– Let us pray for those people who exclude themselves from the life of Grace.

– For our suffering humanity.

– For the souls in Purgatory.

– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

– For our Holy Catholic Church.

– For our personal intentions.

PURPOSE OF THE DAY:

– Develop a spiritual life project that can serve as a guide on my path towards holiness.

– Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

– Respect the Hour of Mercy.

– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.

CLOSING PRAYER:

“Oh my JESUS, I feel that my nature is ennobled, but despite these Graces of Yours it does not die completely, therefore, my vigilance is continuous. I must fight against many defects, knowing well that the fight does not humiliate anyone, but cowardice and the fall”. (Diary 1340).

Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST YOU!
