Daily Reflections, Supplications and Prayers
- REFLECTION:
(37) + When I went to worship, I felt the closeness of GOD. After a moment I saw JESUS and Mary. This vision filled my soul with joy, and I asked the LORD: – What is Your will, JESUS, in this matter in which the confessor orders me to ask? JESUS answered me: – It is My Will that he be here and that he not dispense himself. And I asked JESUS if the inscription was correct: “Christ, King of Mercy”, JESUS answered me: – I am King of Mercy, and He did not say “Christ”. – I want this image to be displayed in public on the first Sunday after Easter. That Sunday is the Feast of Mercy. Through the Incarnate Word I make known the abyss of My Mercy.
It happened that, as the LORD had requested, the first act of veneration for this image by the public [68] took place on the first Sunday after Easter. For three days the image was exhibited in public and received public veneration because it had been placed in Ostra Brama, in a window, high up, that is why it was seen from far away. During those three days in Ostra Brama, the closing of the Jubilee of the Redemption of the World, the 19th centenary of the Passion of the Savior, was solemnly celebrated. Now I see that the work of Redemption is linked to the work of Mercy that the LORD claims (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 88-89).
- SUPPLICATIONS:
– Let us ask for the Grace to trust in the powerful intercession of the Virgin Mary.
– Let us pray for drug addicts, those who are deprived of their liberty, for battered women and for the sick who have lost hope.
– For our suffering humanity.
– For the souls in Purgatory.
– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.
– For our Holy Catholic Church.
– For our personal intentions.
- PURPOSE OF THE DAY:
– Find my refuge in the Heart of Mary Most Holy.
– Pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy.
– Respect the Hour of Mercy.
– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.
- CLOSING PRAYER:
Oh my JESUS, I pray for the whole Church: grant love and light from Your Spirit, give power to the words of the priests so that hardened hearts soften and return to you, LORD.
LORD, give us holy priests; You Yourself preserve them in holiness. Oh Divine and High Priest, may the power of Your Mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the traps and snares of the devil, which are being incessantly set to [entrap] the souls of the priests. May the power of Your Mercy, oh LORD, destroy and make fail what could tarnish the holiness of the priests since You can do everything. Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST IN YOU! (cf. Diary, 1052).
