- REFLECTION:
When, shortly after my first vows, I fell ill [61] and despite the cordial and affectionate care of the Superiors, despite the medical treatments, I was neither better nor worse, then voices began to reach me that I was pretending. And so my suffering began, doubled, and lasted for quite a long time. One day I complained to JESUS that I was a burden for the sisters. JESUS answered me: You do not live for yourself, but for souls. Other souls will benefit from your sufferings. Your prolonged sufferings will give them light and strength to accept My will (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 67).
2.SUPPLICATIONS:
– Let us ask the LORD for the Grace to always do His will.
– Let us beg the Mercy of the LORD for those who do not know His love.
– For our suffering humanity.
– For the souls in Purgatory.
– For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.
– For our Holy Catholic Church.
– For our personal intentions.
- PURPOSE OF THE DAY:
– Love the LORD with all my heart.
– Pray the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy.
– Respect the Hour of Mercy.
– Try to carry out at least one work of Mercy throughout the day.
- CLOSING PRAYER:
Oh Almighty GOD, ever Merciful, Your compassion [is] ever inexhaustible. Although my misery [is] great as the sea, I have full confidence in the Mercy of the LORD. Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, King of Mercy, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen. JESUS I TRUST YOU! (cf. Diary, 1298).
