REFLECTION:

In the third probation the LORD made me understand that I should offer myself to Him so that He could do with me what pleased Him. I must always be before Him as a victim. At first, I was scared, feeling infinitely miserable and knowing myself well. I answered the LORD once more:

-I am misery itself, how can I be a hostage?

-You don’t understand today. Tomorrow I will make it known to you during adoration.

My heart and soul trembled. These words were imprinted so deeply in my soul. The Word of GOD is alive. When I came to worship, I felt in my soul that I entered the temple of the living GOD, whose Majesty is great and inconceivable.

And the LORD made known to me what even the purest spirits are before Him. Although I couldn’t see anything on the outside, the presence of GOD completely enveloped me. At that moment my mind was illuminated in a singular way. A vision passed before the eyes of my soul, like the one that the Lord JESUS had in the Garden of Olives. First the physical sufferings and all the circumstances that increase them; the spiritual sufferings in all their extension and of which no one will know.

Everything enters into that vision: unfair suspicions, loss of one’s own good name. I have described that in a summary way, but the knowledge of it was so clear that what I lived after did not differ in any way from what I knew at that time. My name should be “victim.” When the vision ended, a cold sweat flowed down my forehead. (Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, Divine Mercy in my soul, Diary, 135).

SUPPLICATIONS:

Let us ask for the grace to get special moments to be alone with the King of Mercy and learn from Him.

Let us pray for the sick who have lost hope, for the prisoners and for those who seek happiness in the wrong ways.

Let us ask the LORD to have mercy on our suffering humanity and for an end to the spread of COVID-19 throughout the world.

For the intentions of the Virgin Mary.

Prayer:

JESUS, Divine prisoner of love, when I consider Your love and how You have been overwhelmed by me, my senses fail. You conceal Your inconceivable Majesty and humble yourself by lowering yourself to me, a miserable being. O King of Glory, although you hide Your beauty, the eye of my soul tears the veil. I see the choirs of angels that honor You incessantly and all the heavenly powers that praise You without ceasing and that continually say to you: Holy, Holy, Holy. Oh My Good Merciful JESUS, I trust in You and only in You I hope. Amen.
